August 28: Isolated Showers Expected in the Mountains of Cyprus
The Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus reports that on Wednesday, August 28, the region will be influenced by seasonal low pressure and an unstable air mass.
In the morning, there will be locally increased low cloud cover, primarily in the western and northern areas. In the afternoon, clouds are expected to develop, bringing isolated showers, mainly in the mountainous and inland regions.
According to the meteorological service, daytime temperatures today will reach up to 37°C in the interior regions, around 31°C on the west and southwest coasts, about 33°C on other coastal areas, and up to 25°C in the mountains.
By evening and into the night, the weather will be mostly clear, although low cloud cover will increase in the west and north. Light localized fog may form in the early morning, especially in the interior and southeastern areas.
Overnight, temperatures are expected to drop to 22°C in the interior regions, 24°C along the coast, and 17°C in the mountainous areas.
The weather for the next few days is expected to be mostly sunny. However, after midday, clouds forming over the mountains and possibly in inland areas could bring isolated showers.
Temperatures are expected to gradually rise slightly until Saturday, staying close to or just above average climatic values.
