Cloudy but Dry Weather Expected in Cyprus on February 3
According to the Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus, weak high pressure will dominate the region on Monday, February 3. However, low pressure is expected to move in starting Tuesday. By Wednesday, colder air and stronger northerly winds will begin to affect the island.
The morning will be mostly cloudy with mid- and high-level clouds, but skies are expected to gradually clear in the afternoon.
Daytime temperatures will reach around 19°C inland and along the coast, while mountainous areas will see highs of about 11°C.
Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear, though some areas may experience increased low-level cloud cover. Light fog or mist may form in parts of the inland and eastern regions during the early morning hours.
Overnight, temperatures will drop to around 5°C inland, 8°C along the coast, and 3°C in the mountains, where frost is expected to develop in some areas.
On Tuesday, partly cloudy skies will give way to scattered showers or even thunderstorms in the evening, mainly in the west and north. Snowfall is possible on the highest peaks of the Troodos Mountains.
While temperatures will remain steady on Tuesday, a significant drop is expected by Thursday, bringing them below seasonal averages.
