Clear Skies and Frost in the Mountains Expected in Cyprus on January 7
The Meteorological Department of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that a weak high-pressure system will affect the region on Tuesday, January 7.
The morning is expected to be mostly clear, but by the afternoon, some areas may see increased cloud cover, particularly in the mountainous and western regions. Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach around 19°C inland, 20°C along the southeastern and eastern coasts, and 9°C in the mountains.
In the evening, the weather will become partly cloudy.
Overnight, temperatures are expected to drop to approximately 6°C inland, 10°C along the coasts, and 3°C in the mountains, where localized frost is likely. As of this report, the snow depth on the highest peaks of the Troodos Mountains was measured at 18 cm.
Temperatures are expected to remain steady through Friday, continuing to stay above the seasonal average.
