Over 300 Cypriots Registered on Minds in Cyprus Platform in Two Weeks
More than 300 Cypriots living abroad registered on the Minds in Cyprus platform in less than two weeks since its launch, the President's office announced in a post on X on Wednesday. According to the statement, participants represent 23 countries and register to search for vacancies matching their profile.
The platform, launched on August 26 as part of the "brain gain" strategy, aims to connect the government with the diaspora and attract specialists in science, technology, and finance. Minds in Cyprus offers a list of vacancies, personalized recommendations, and information for those planning to return to the island.
As an incentive for returning, the authorities increased tax benefits: the tax exemption rate for the first employment income rose from 20% to 25%, and the maximum allowance increased from €8,550 to €25,000 per year, according to the announcement.
For Cypriot residents, this means increased interest from qualified compatriots and additional opportunities for employers seeking specialists abroad. For detailed information and registration, it is recommended to visit the official Minds in Cyprus website.
