Most Cypriots preferred to celebrate Easter at home
During the Easter holidays in Cyprus, visits to entertainment venues and restaurants were halved. Most Cypriots chose to celebrate Easter at home.
According to Neofitos Trasivoulos, President of the Federation of Entertainment Center Owners (OSIKA), attendance at shopping malls during the holidays decreased by 50% as Cypriots prefer to spend the Easter holidays with their families.
The expert also noted a reduction in tourist traffic, as Catholic Easter this year occurred earlier than Orthodox Easter.
According to the specialist's estimates, attendance at entertainment venues is expected to recover after the end of Easter Monday.
