In Larnaca, the high-profile case against a 42-year-old man accused of distributing intimate images of at least 12 women has been postponed once again. The defendant changed lawyers for the second time, resulting in hearings being rescheduled for February 10, 2026, more than two and a half years after the investigation began.

The investigation started in the summer of 2023 following a complaint from the man’s former wife, who informed police that intimate photos and videos taken during their marriage had appeared online. Shortly afterward, his current wife accused him of posting images of herself, relatives, and acquaintances in Telegram and Instagram groups — many of the materials were edited using other people’s nude bodies. Later, ten more women came forward to the police.

According to the investigation, the victims became aware of the situation after the accused mistakenly sent the photos from his real account to a third party. The man denies the charges and faces allegations of distributing pornographic content and violating laws on preventing violence against women.

The court chairman urged the parties to expedite the proceedings and reduce further delays; however, the new change of defense counsel postponed the trial once again.
