Roads in Troodos Still Closed
In Cyprus, due to heavy snowfall, roads leading to Troodos remain closed. Some highways are partially blocked.
According to the police, the following roads are completely closed to traffic: Platres - Troodos, Karvounas - Troodos, and Prodromos - Troodos.
The following roads are only accessible to four-wheel-drive vehicles or cars with anti-skid chains: Agros - Papoutsa, Pine Forest - Pedoulas, Pedoulas - Prodromos, Prodromos - Platres, Prodromos - Lemithou.
Additionally, landslides occurred on the road between Palodia and Gerasa in Limassol, and the road from Orkodia to Kykkos is very slippery due to black ice. Drivers are urged by the police to be cautious.
It is worth reminding that since yesterday, Cyprus has been experiencing a strong cyclone named "Avgi" (Dawn). An "orange" storm warning has been extended in the country.
