Traffic accident on the Limassol–Nicosia motorway: police officers injured
Three people were taken to Nicosia General Hospital on Sunday night following a traffic accident on the Limassol–Nicosia motorway.
According to the police, a service patrol vehicle carrying two police officers was parked on the emergency lane in the GSP area as part of road checks and accident prevention measures.
Under circumstances that are currently under investigation, a truck collided with the rear of the police vehicle.
As a result of the collision, both police officers and the truck driver were injured. All three were taken to hospital, where they are undergoing medical examinations.
The circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
