Two workers seriously injured after scaffolding collapse in Cyprus
A serious industrial accident occurred on Thursday afternoon at a construction site in Paralimni.
According to police, at around 12:00, two men aged 64 and 56 were on scaffolding approximately two meters high. For reasons yet to be determined, the structure collapsed, and the workers fell to the ground.
Both men sustained traumatic brain injuries and multiple fractures.
The 64-year-old victim was taken to Nicosia Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment in the neurosurgery department.
The 56-year-old man was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Famagusta Hospital.
The condition of both victims is assessed as serious.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the Paralimni police station.
