Another Person Hospitalized with Heatstroke in Cyprus
Another person has been hospitalized with heatstroke in the intensive care unit of a state hospital in Cyprus.
According to a representative of the OKYPY health organization, a 34-year-old man with symptoms of heatstroke has been in the hospital since yesterday. The patient is intubated, and his condition is described as serious by the attending physicians.
The OKYPY representative also mentioned that there are “specific reasons” why a man of such a young age required hospitalization, but did not provide further details.
Earlier reports indicated that a 64-year-old woman died from heatstroke over the weekend in Cyprus, and three other individuals were hospitalized.
Today, it was reported that two of the three women who were also hospitalized with symptoms of heatstroke have been discharged. Another 25-year-old woman remains in the hospital, but her condition has significantly improved. Doctors do not rule out the possibility of her discharge in the coming days.
