Cargo Ship Flying Cyprus Flag with Ukrainian Crew Runs Aground off Italy's Coast
The cargo ship Guang Rong, flying the flag of Cyprus, ran aground off the coast of Tuscany due to rough weather conditions. The massive vessel was anchored but was pushed toward the shore by a powerful storm, causing its stern to crash into the Marina di Massa pier.

According to Cyprus Mail, port authorities dispatched a helicopter to evacuate the 12 crew members, the majority of whom are Ukrainian nationals.
Thankfully, no fuel leaks have been reported. Authorities have launched an investigation to assess the extent of the damage to the vessel, which has tilted to one side.
In the coming days, officials will determine whether the ship can be safely relocated to a secure location.
