Italian Man Arrives in Larnaca from Thailand with 25 kg of Marijuana
Authorities at Larnaca Airport have seized a large quantity of drugs from a passenger's luggage. The Italian national arriving in Cyprus was found to be carrying 25 kilograms of marijuana.
According to the Customs Department, the man arrived at Larnaca Airport from Dubai, which he used as a transit hub after his initial departure from Thailand.
During the inspection of his luggage, officials discovered 45 packages containing a total of 25 kilograms and 610 grams of cannabis.
The Italian was arrested by officers from the Drug Enforcement Agency (YKAN) who were on-site. The investigation is ongoing.
