Cyprus will open polling stations abroad for the European Parliament elections
Cyprus will open polling stations in Greece, Belgium, and the United Kingdom for the European Parliament elections in June. Cypriots residing in these three countries will be able to vote locally, provided they register by April 2.
Those wishing to open other polling stations abroad for the European elections can do so by submitting an application to the Ministry of Interior. If 50 voters in one locality submit such an application, a polling station will be opened there.
People wishing to register for voting abroad can do so either on the government website choice.gov.cy or in paper form by sending the relevant form to the embassy, high commission, or consulate of Cyprus.
Voter registration will be open for both local elections and European Parliament elections until April 2, and the elections will be held simultaneously on June 9.
In Cyprus, voting rights will be granted to all citizens of the Republic of Cyprus and citizens of the European Union residing in Cyprus who have reached the age of 18 on the day of the elections, born on or after June 9, 2006.
Individuals aged 25 and older can register online on the choice.gov.cy website.
Paper applications can be obtained at local district administration offices, Citizen Service Centers, and post offices, or downloaded from the Electoral Service website.
