Cyprus Ranks Among the Top 5 Tourist Destinations for the Cheapest Beer and Wine

A research group has compiled an index measuring the affordability of beer and wine in popular tourist destinations.

Egypt tops the list as the country with the cheapest beer, with a pint priced at just £1.43. Following closely behind is the Dominican Republic, where a pint costs £1.98. The United Kingdom rounds out the top three, offering pints starting at £2.08. Malta comes in fourth at £2.15, while Cyprus—specifically Paphos—claims the fifth spot, with a glass of beer priced from £2.58.

A similar price point for this popular light alcoholic beverage can be found in Spain, particularly in Majorca, Costa del Sol, Tenerife, Costa Blanca, and Lanzarote.

Additionally, a separate study was conducted focusing on wine enthusiasts, specifically regarding the price of a glass of prosecco or other local sparkling wines.

According to the portal Omegalive, the cheapest prosecco is available on Costa Dorada and Costa del Sol for £3.01, followed by Paphos in Cyprus at £3.87, Lanzarote at £4.26, Majorca at £4.30, and Costa Blanca at £4.73.
