Cypriot police engaged in a shootout chase with drug traffickers
A large shipment of drugs and a significant sum of cash were seized in Cyprus. Narcotics police in Embe engaged in a shootout chase with the suspects.
According to local media reports, four vehicles from the Police Anti-Narcotics Unit (YKAN) pursued the drug traffickers. According to police information, during the shootout chase, the passengers abandoned their car in the Embe area and fled in an unknown direction.
While fleeing, the car's driver threw a package onto the roof of an abandoned house. Police found around a kilogram of cannabis in the bag.
Additionally, police issued arrest warrants for two 29-year-old Greek Cypriots.
During searches at one man's house, over 10 kilograms of cannabis and €8,000 were found, while at the second suspect's house, one kilogram of cocaine and €67,000 were found in a garbage bin.
