The Queen of the Limassol Carnival is a Physical Education Teacher
The Municipality of Limassol has chosen the queen of the Limassol Carnival for the year 2024. By unanimous decision of the city council, the title goes to the physical education and modern dance teacher, Christiana Charalambous.
In the municipality's statement, it is noted that the contest winner is an experienced participant in carnivals. She has been "participating in city events for decades," not only in carnivals but also in charitable and other activities, and she organizes traditional dance festivals in schools.
Christiana Charalambous has been participating in carnivals since early childhood, joining them even from kindergarten, and has repeatedly won first prizes. Since 2001, she has been participating in parades with her team.
Festive events within the carnival will take place in Limassol from March 7 to 17. Traditionally, it will conclude with the Grand Parade along Makarios Avenue.
