BETWEEN CYPRUS AND SERBIA, THREE MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING HAVE BEEN SIGNED
As part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, to Serbia, memoranda of understanding were signed in the fields of science, education, and between the diplomatic academies of the two countries.
On Thursday, the third meeting of the Cyprus-Serbia Cooperation Council took place in Belgrade, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
Attending the meeting at the Presidential Palace were the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos, the Minister of Defense, Michalis Giorgallas, the Minister of Education, Sports, and Youth, Athina Michaelidou, the official government spokesperson, Constantinos Petrides, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic to Serbia, Andreas Fotiou, the Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President, Doros Venzis, and other officials.
After the session, Cyprus and Serbia signed memoranda of understanding in the presence of the two presidents.
Among them, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the diplomatic academies of Cyprus and Serbia, with the aim of promoting and developing cooperation between the two countries, improving education, training diplomatic personnel, and advancing joint research.
Memoranda of Cooperation were also signed in the fields of science, innovation, advanced technologies, and understanding in the field of education.
After the signing, a working lunch was hosted by the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, in honor of the President of the Republic of Cyprus.
