The ADEL atmospheric front is heading toward Cyprus: storms and cooler weather expected by the weekend

The ADEL atmospheric front, currently moving across Europe, will reach Cyprus as early as Saturday evening. According to the Meteorological Department, from Friday to Sunday the island will be under the influence of a low-pressure system and a cold air mass.
Rain and local thunderstorms are expected, along with a noticeable drop in temperature. The most difficult weather conditions are forecast in the west and north of Cyprus. The temperature will drop to around 18°C.
Residents are advised to take the worsening weather into account when planning their weekend.
