On March 14th, local rain and snow are expected in the mountains in Cyprus
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, March 14th, the region continues to be affected by weak low pressure.
Today, in the first half of the day, locally increased cloudiness is expected in the west, with possible light rain, while the rest of the island's territory will have predominantly sunny weather. However, after noon, cloudiness will increase, which may lead to local rains, especially in the mountains, as well as in the eastern half of the island.
According to the meteorological service forecast, during the day, the air temperature will reach up to 21°C in inland areas, on the southern and eastern coasts, up to 20°C on the western and northern coasts, and up to 13°C in mountainous areas.
By evening, variable cloudiness is expected, with isolated showers and brief thunderstorms possible in the west and north. Snow and rain are possible on the highest peaks of Troodos.
The air temperature will drop to around 12°C in inland areas and on the coasts, and to 2°C in mountainous areas, where local frosts are expected.
Until Sunday, the temperature will not change significantly, remaining slightly above average climatic values.
