Weather Forecast for Cyprus on December 8: Thunderstorms with Hail and Freezing in the Mountains

According to the Republic of Cyprus Meteorology Department, on Friday, December 8th, the region will be affected by weak low pressure, gradually moving southeast.

During the day, the weather will be mostly cloudy, with expected rain and isolated storms, starting in the west and north and then spreading to the rest of the island. Hail is possible during thunderstorms.

According to the meteorological forecast, daytime temperatures will reach up to 19°C inland, up to 21°C on the coasts, and down to 9°C in the mountainous areas. Winds will be mainly southeast and southwest, occasionally variable, ranging from weak to moderate.

By the evening and night, the weather will remain cloudy, with brief rain and isolated storms expected. Air temperatures will drop to around 12°C inland, 15°C on the coasts, and 4°C in the mountainous areas, where local frost is expected.

On Saturday, variable cloudiness is expected, along with isolated showers and the possibility of isolated brief thunderstorms, especially in the western half of the island. Wet snow may fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.

Temperatures on Saturday will slightly decrease, gradually increasing until Monday, continuing to fluctuate near the average climatic values for the season.
