An impostor posing as an Orthodox priest is active in Cyprus

Archbishop of Cyprus Georgios issued an urgent warning: a man has been identified on the island who presents himself as an Orthodox clergyman without any connection to the Church.
According to the Archbishopric, the impostor appears in clerical robes, introduces himself as a spiritual figure, and may mislead people by exploiting their trust. The official statement emphasizes that this person does not belong to the Cyprus Orthodox Church and has no right to perform any religious acts.
Residents are urged to be vigilant, avoid contact with him, and report any such cases to the police or church authorities if necessary.
