Massive GPS disruptions reported in Cyprus

In recent days, there has been a growing number of reports from Cyprus residents about problems with GPS functioning, as evidenced by posts on social media.
This is not the first time Cyprus has experienced such issues. A similar situation occurred last year around the same time, reportedly due to conflicts between Israel and Gaza, which were believed to cause interference with GPS frequencies.
"Interference is observed in mobile telephony, terrestrial digital television, and any other GPS-based system, such as drone applications. We had cases where drones were lost because operators couldn’t maintain connection due to GPS issues," said the official responsible for electronic communications at the Ministry of Research and Innovation last year.
Similar problems have recently resurfaced: citizens are having trouble with mapping apps on their mobile phones, as well as during drone flights.
Although the responsible ministry has not yet issued an official statement on the recent incidents or whether they are the result of interference, the GPSJAM website, which monitors and records such disturbances, shows significant activity in the area.
Specifically, Cyprus began "turning red" on June 13, a date that coincides with Israel’s first strike on Iran.
