In Cyprus, 31 out of 45 essential products have become more expensive
According to the Consumer Price Index, in January, the Republic of Cyprus saw price increases in 31 out of 45 essential consumer goods.
According to local media reports, among the essential food products, the highest price increase in January compared to the previous month was recorded for oil, the cost of which increased by 11 percent. Flour also increased by 11 percent.
Additionally, the cost of frozen products, including fish, increased by 10.4 percent. Prices for frozen meat rose by 7.9 percent.
Yogurts increased by 5.6 percent, eggs by 5.4 percent, fruit juices by 5.3 percent, coffee by 4.4 percent, and carbonated drinks by 3.8 percent.
At the same time, prices decreased for fresh meat (7.9 percent), sugar (12.4 percent), and fruits/vegetables (24.3 percent).
