In Cyprus, today is the last day for voters to submit applications for the European Parliament elections
In the Republic of Cyprus, April 2nd is the final day for submitting applications for voting in the June elections for the European Parliament. The Ministry of Interior is urging citizens to register.
According to the ministry's statement, individuals aged 18 to 25 can submit their voting applications online on the website choice.gov.cy.
Paper applications can be obtained at local district administration offices, Citizen Service Centers, and post offices, or downloaded from the Electoral Service website.
The ministry also added that applications will not be accepted after midnight on April 2nd.
The elections for Members of the European Parliament and representatives of local authorities will take place in Cyprus on June 9th.
All citizens of the Republic of Cyprus and citizens of the European Union residing in Cyprus who have reached the age of 18 by the day of the elections will have the right to vote in Cyprus.
The Ministry of Interior also reminds that civil servants, unemployed graduates, as well as employees of public-law entities and the private sector, can express their interest in staffing polling stations for the elections. This can be done through the website aps.elections.moi.gov.cy.
The deadline for submitting the corresponding application is midnight on April 11th.
