In Cyprus, prostheses were installed for the first time on a kitten with broken legs
In Cyprus, a street kitten named Tabitha was fitted with prostheses, giving her a second chance at life. The injured cat was found abandoned on the street with her hind legs broken.
As reported by Alphanews, two strangers took the poor stray animal to a veterinary clinic and handed her over to the doctors.
Instead of possible euthanasia, three veterinarians from one of the clinics performed a unique operation free of charge. Doctors Konstantinos Kleovoulou and Vangelis Mikhail, along with engineer Panayiotis Mikhail, gave the cat a second life by installing titanium prostheses. A similar operation was conducted for the first time in Cyprus.
Tabitha has already recovered from the surgery and is feeling well. An assistant surgeon at the clinic took the patient home, giving her the love and affection she had dreamed of.
