First Snowfall in Cyprus: Snow and Strong Winds Persist on November 25
The Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus has reported that on Monday, November 25, the region remains under the influence of weak low pressure. Over the weekend, the first snowfall of the season was recorded in the mountains. The cold air mass currently affecting the island is expected to begin retreating gradually from tomorrow.

This morning, the weather will be predominantly cloudy, with scattered rain showers expected, especially in the northern and eastern parts of the island. Light snowfall is forecast in mountainous areas and occasionally at lower elevations. Strong winds will reach up to level 7 on the Beaufort scale.
Daytime temperatures are expected to rise to around 13°C inland, 15°C along the coast, and approximately 2°C in the high mountains, where frosty conditions will prevail in certain areas.
By evening, increased cloudiness is anticipated, along with isolated rain showers, mainly in the northern and eastern regions. Light snowfall will persist in the mountains and occasionally at lower altitudes.
During the night, temperatures will drop to about 6°C in inland areas, 8°C along the coast, and around -3°C in the mountains. Frost is expected in high-altitude areas and possibly in some mid-altitude regions.
On Tuesday, most areas will experience mostly clear skies, though localized cloudiness may lead to isolated rain, particularly in the northern parts of the island. Wet snow is possible in the high mountains.
Temperatures are forecast to rise gradually and significantly by Thursday, hovering near or slightly below the seasonal average.
