Russian Motorcyclist Killed on Nicosia — Larnaca Highway
A 44-year-old man named Igor Tkachev died as a result of a serious traffic accident on the Nicosia — Larnaca highway on Tuesday night.
According to police, the accident occurred around 01:00. The motorcyclist was traveling towards Larnaca when, for unknown reasons, he lost control. The motorcycle overturned and crashed into the road barrier.
As a result of the impact, the man was thrown onto the left emergency lane, where he was hit by a passing car.
Police and paramedics arrived at the scene promptly. The victim was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The circumstances of the accident are being investigated, and the investigation continues.
