The Kissoneгi promenade was renovated for 200,000 euros instead of three million
The restoration of the coastal pedestrian pathway in Kissoneгi, Cyprus, has been completed. The work was finished with lower costs compared to the initial budget.
Initially, the construction of the pedestrian pathway was budgeted at approximately three million euros. Thanks to thoughtful planning and proper financial management, the project was completed for only two hundred thousand euros. Thus, the project saved approximately 2,800,000 euros.
The two-kilometer pedestrian pathway features a unified design that blends with the surrounding environment and connects all the hotels in the Kissoneгi tourist zone. Additionally, a playground, outdoor gym, and the attraction "Lock Your Love" have been built along the pedestrian street.
The latter spot is particularly popular among locals and foreign tourists. Special markers with traditional place names have also been installed along the pedestrian street. Now, the Kissoneгi promenade can be used for both walking and cycling.
"The coastal promenade highlights the beautiful rocky coastline of Kissoneгi Bay and has become one of the most notable projects in the Paphos area," the municipality statement said.
