A fugitive criminal was caught selling someone else's car in Paphos
In Paphos, a man who was wanted for the distribution of counterfeit documents has been arrested. The 48-year-old man was caught attempting to sell a car entrusted to him while the owner was abroad.
According to the police press service, the arrest of the permanent resident of Cyprus was made after a complaint from the owner of the car, who had entrusted his vehicle to him. While the car owner was away, the suspect sold it for three thousand euros.
After the arrest, it was revealed that the man already had serious legal issues. He is under investigation on suspicion of embezzlement and theft from a trusted person, as well as the manufacturing and distribution of counterfeit documents.
