Districts in Cyprus Selected for the First Rollout of Smart Meters
The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has officially launched its smart meter installation project across the Republic of Cyprus. As part of the initial phase, several pilot regions have been identified where the installation of smart meters will take priority.
In a statement, the EAC announced that this week, from January 20 to 25, they are conducting a small-scale pilot project. This involves replacing certain meters in select areas to test functionality, monitor communication systems, and address any technical challenges that may arise.
The pilot installations will take place in the following areas:
- Nicosia Region: Tripiotis neighborhood
- Limassol Region: Parts of Germasogeia and Agios Athanasios
- Larnaca Region: Finikoudes area
- Paphos Region: Kato Paphos
