Cyprus Announces "Christmas Villages 2024-2025"
Cyprus has revealed the list of "Christmas Villages 2024-2025." This year, there will be eight of them.
Following the great success of the "Christmas Villages" initiative in municipalities and communities over the past three years, the Ministry of Tourism has announced a grant program for community councils and villages.
After evaluating applications, it has been decided that the Christmas Villages for 2024-2025 will operate from November 22, 2024, to January 6, 2025, in the following locations: Agros, Deryneia, Kalopanagiotis, Kiti, Kyperounta, Laiki Geitonia (Nicosia Municipality), Lefkara, and Fikardou.
The grant program is a separate initiative aimed at enhancing the quality of the tourism product through special quality labels, which have now become an institution for promoting winter tourism.
It has been reported that the selected locations will be festively decorated. The Christmas Villages will feature log cabins with local products and handmade crafts, hands-on workshops in crafts and gastronomy, outdoor activities such as nature walks and cycling, village tours, and other festive activities.
More detailed information about the program and events in each "Christmas Village" will be available on the dedicated website www.christmasvillages.com.cy.
