New Week in Cyprus Begins with Rain, Thunderstorms, and Hail: Weather Forecast for August 26

According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, seasonal low pressure and an unstable air mass will affect the region on Monday, August 26.

In the first half of the day, after the low clouds clear, the weather will become mostly sunny. However, in the afternoon, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the mountains, inland areas, and the north, with a chance of hail during these storms.

Today’s forecast indicates that temperatures will rise to 38°C in inland areas, 33°C along the coast, and 28°C in the mountains.

By evening, low cloud cover is expected to increase temporarily. Temperatures will drop to 22°C in inland areas and on the northern coast, 23°C on the other coasts, and 17°C in the mountains.

In the coming days, local increases in cloudiness are expected, leading to isolated showers and storms, mainly in the mountains and the eastern half of the island.

Temperatures will decrease slightly and remain close to average climatic values through Thursday.
