Cyprus Tourism Revenues Calculated for the First Quarter
According to a report published by the Statistical Service of Cyprus, in the first quarter of 2024, the country's tourism revenues reached €110.3 million, with per capita spending amounting to €521.01. In annual terms, tourism revenues increased by almost 8%.
The report, based on data collected from traveler surveys, indicates that tourism revenues in February 2024 reached €65.1 million, compared to €56.6 million in the same month of the previous year.
Furthermore, for the period from January to February 2024, tourism revenues amounted to €110.3 million, compared to €102.2 million for the same period in 2023, reflecting a 7.9% annual increase.
According to the report, per capita spending in February increased by 9.6%, reaching €521.01 compared to €475.39 in February 2023.
According to the Statistical Service, British tourists, accounting for 24.6% of the total number of tourists arriving in February 2024, spent an average of €63.37 per day.
In second place were guests from Poland (13.3% of the total), who spent an average of €69.87 per day.
Israel ranks third among the top three countries by number of travelers to Cyprus (10.6%). Israelis spend an average of €113.36 per day.
