Arson in Limassol: police investigate incident
On the evening of January 14, another act of vandalism occurred in the Ayios Athanasios area. At around 22:00, a group of teenagers set fire to a garbage container and fled the scene.
According to eyewitnesses, the young people were dressed entirely in black and concealed their faces with masks. After the arson, local residents immediately called the police. A patrol arrived at the scene within a few minutes, but by that time the offenders had already left.
Law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation and are checking a possible connection between the incident and previous disturbances in the area. It is recalled that similar cases of arson and street hooliganism have already been recorded in Ayios Athanasios.
