Flights from Paphos to Israel Continue as Usual
Air travel from Paphos Airport to Israel is operating on schedule. The escalating situation in the Middle East has not affected flight timings.
According to Hermes Airports, the management company for Cyprus airports, all flights from Paphos to Israel are proceeding as planned. Therefore, the airport has not been impacted by the recent crisis in the Middle East, which was heightened by Iran's ballistic missile strikes on Israel on Tuesday evening, as reported by the Cyprus News Agency (CNA).
On Tuesday evening, Iran launched a massive missile attack on Israel, targeting Tel Aviv with approximately 500 rockets. The bombardment was visible from various parts of Cyprus. Following the start of the attack, a total of 11 flights from different European countries heading to Tel Aviv were redirected to Larnaca Airport. However, no flights bound for Tel Aviv from these European countries were redirected to Paphos Airport.
Additionally, there have been no significant increases in passenger traffic at Cyprus airports to date. Current traffic levels align with expectations for October. Although some flights are fully booked, this is unrelated to the crisis in the Middle East.
