Cyprus Police Arrest 11 Illegal Immigrants
In Cyprus, the police conducted a special operation to combat illegal residence within the territory of the Republic of Cyprus. During the raid, 11 illegal immigrants were arrested.
According to the police statement, a coordinated and targeted operation took place in the Nicosia province to prevent illegal stay within the territory of the Republic of Cyprus. Officers from the Foreigners and Immigration Service participated in the operation.
It is reported that during the operation, 11 foreigners illegally residing in the republic were identified and arrested. Immediately after the apprehension, procedures for their immediate repatriation were activated.
The police and the Foreigners and Immigration Service continue their efforts to maximize the number of those returning.
