Cyprus Police Intensify Road Checks
The Cyprus Police are launching a week dedicated to information and policing activities. Over the next few days, road checks will be significantly increased.
According to the announcement, these enhanced checks will begin today, Monday, August 5, and will continue until the end of the week, concluding on Sunday, August 11.
The primary focus of this initiative will be "on speed enforcement to prevent serious and fatal traffic accidents."
This preventive measure is also part of a broader European effort, in collaboration with the European Road Safety Network, ROADPOL.
Speeding remains one of the leading causes of serious and fatal traffic accidents.
