The Cause of Loud Explosions in Larnaca Province Identified

Residents of Larnaca are concerned about the loud explosions heard early in the morning across a wide area near the municipality. The police have identified the reason behind the noise.

Since morning, authorities have received dozens of phone calls from worried citizens reporting the explosions.

According to the police statement, the explosions occurred due to the controlled demolition of munitions by the National Guard at the Kalu Horio firing range.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, bans on the use of fireworks were lifted in Cyprus.
