Limassol Police Investigate €700,000 Fraud Case
Authorities in Limassol are currently investigating a significant fraud case involving the theft of €700,000. One suspect has already been taken into custody.

According to a statement from the police press office, the investigation began after the director of a local company reported the theft of €700,000. Acting on this complaint, officers arrested a 45-year-old man on Monday evening. The suspect is now being held in custody.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspect worked for the company from 2017 to 2023. During this time, he allegedly forged contracts and receipts, with the fraudulent documents showing amounts lower than the actual payments he received.
Since the case was reported, investigators have gathered several testimonies from individuals connected to the incident.
The Economic Crime Investigation Division of the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department is leading the probe to uncover the full extent of the alleged fraud.
