The Paphos Police caught two underage drivers
Last Sunday, the Paphos police caught two underage drivers. One young man is 17 years old, and the other is 15.
According to the police, the first driver caught was a 17-year-old teenager who was driving without a license and third-party insurance.
The police detained the offender around 20:30 for speeding. He was taken to the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department, where his parents were called. Another underage young man was also in the car besides the driver.
In the second case, a 15-year-old teenager was detained, who was also caught behind the wheel in Paphos.
The Paphos police reported that the car was stopped for inspection shortly after midnight on the Tombs of the Kings Avenue. The driver underwent a drug test, which yielded a preliminary positive result. Additional samples were sent to the state laboratory for confirmation.
A total of 175 drivers have been detained in the district for various traffic violations in the last three days. Twenty people were caught driving under the influence, and three more were driving under the influence of drugs.
