Suspect Arrested in Series of Bakery Robberies
A suspect has been arrested in Nicosia in connection with a series of bakery robberies. The 28-year-old man is accused of robbing a bakery three times.
According to the police, the first robbery occurred on Sunday night around 11:00 PM. The thief entered the bakery with his face covered and a sharp object in hand, threatened the staff, took money from the cash register, and fled the scene. On Tuesday, the suspect broke the lock on the bakery’s entrance, entered, and demanded money from the staff. After taking the cash, he escaped.
The third robbery took place on Wednesday after midnight. This time, the robber grabbed baked goods from the shelf, went to the cash register, pushed the cashier aside, took the money, and fled again.
The arrested man is expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court on Thursday. The police investigation is ongoing.
