Police investigate van hitting pedestrian in Paralimni
A 23-year-old man was hospitalized after being struck by a reversing van near a hotel in Paralimni, police reported on Friday.
According to the investigation, the van, moving in reverse, was driven by a 41-year-old man; the victim was walking in the area at the time and was hit by the vehicle. He was initially taken to a private clinic in Paralimni, then transferred to Famagusta General Hospital (located in Paralimni), and afterwards to Nicosia General Hospital.
Doctors diagnosed the victim with a liver contusion and serious head injuries. Physicians described his condition as “critical.”
The police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Official details of the case have not yet been published.
