Greek and Cypriot ports will unite in the Eastern Mediterranean Marinas Network
Greece and Cyprus are promoting maritime tourism: the ports of Ayia Napa, Rhodes, Symi, and Kos have announced the creation of the Eastern Mediterranean Marinas Network (EMMN). The collaboration aims to enhance services for yacht owners and further develop maritime tourism in the broader Eastern Mediterranean region.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed at the Ayia Napa marina by representatives of managing companies from the collaborating harbors.
- The four marinas forming the network will interact to achieve optimal promotional policies and create conditions for development and cooperation, as stated in the memorandum.
It is expected that each EMMN member marina will participate in activities promoting the development of yacht tourism in the Mediterranean. The agreement outlines the commitment to providing high-level services exclusively to network customers in the four member ports.
Network members will also exchange ideas on alternative sources of green energy to achieve zero environmental impact during the operation and mooring of vessels.
The official ceremony for the establishment of the network is planned for December 6-8, during the boat exhibition in Athens.
