The Ambassador of Russia to Cyprus Congratulates Compatriots on Family, Love, and Fidelity Day
Murat Ziazikov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Cyprus, extended his congratulations to compatriots on the occasion of Family, Love, and Fidelity Day.
"On this Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity, I sincerely extend my warmest wishes to all of you," expressed the head of the diplomatic mission.
The Russian Ambassador highlighted that the celebratory events in Cyprus commenced "in a truly significant location for all Orthodox believers - the recently consecrated Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker."
"The traditional family is the cornerstone of a healthy society, and marriage between a man and a woman is sacred, as it is blessed by God. These principles form the foundation of a shared cultural ethos between Russians and Cypriots, fostering mutual understanding and respect," the diplomat stated on the department's social media platform.
Murat Ziazikov also emphasized that Russia's leadership "consistently supports and effectively promotes state policies aimed at strengthening the institution of marriage, creating conducive environments for large families, and providing additional incentives to increase their number."
"The strength of our children's and Russia's successful future lies in strong families united by genuine love and unwavering fidelity. I am confident that this guiding principle will continue to shine as a beacon for all generations of Russians, including our compatriots residing here in Cyprus," concluded the Russian Ambassador.
Family, Love, and Fidelity Day is observed in Russia on July 8th, coinciding with the Orthodox commemoration of Holy Prince Peter and his wife Fevronia. The holiday was officially established by the decree of the President of Russia on June 28, 2022.
