Fire near Teletra in Paphos brought under control
The fire near the settlement of Teletra in Paphos, Cyprus, was fully brought under control on Tuesday afternoon, the fire service reported.
Preliminary data indicate that the fire affected approximately four decares of dry grass and wild vegetation (around 4,000 m²).
Due to the difficult terrain, in addition to ground forces, two firefighting aircraft were also deployed to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire will be determined during a subsequent investigation.
Fire service units remained on site to prevent possible re-ignitions.
