Elderly Romanian Woman Dies in Bathroom Incident in Paphos
A 69-year-old Romanian woman was found dead in her bathroom in Paphos over the weekend. Preliminary investigations suggest she may have been electrocuted.
According to police, the woman was rushed to Paphos General Hospital around 9:20 PM on Saturday after her daughter found her unconscious on the bathroom floor of their home in the village of Tsada earlier that day. Despite efforts to save her, she did not survive.
An initial examination found no signs of injury or foul play. A post-mortem examination suggested that she may have suffered an electric shock, but further tests are required to confirm the exact cause of death.
On Sunday morning, police and electromechanical experts conducted an on-site investigation, though the circumstances remain unclear. The area has been secured, and authorities continued their investigation on Monday.
Family members revealed that the woman had been dealing with serious health issues in recent years.
