The President of Cyprus and the First Lady to Attend the Opening of the Olympics in Paris
Today, July 26, the grand opening of the XXXIII Olympic Games will take place in Paris. The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and the First Lady, Philippa Karsera, will attend the ceremony.
On Friday, the Cypriot leader and his wife will travel to Paris at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The presidential couple will attend a reception hosted by the President of France and the International Olympic Committee, and then participate in the opening ceremony of the Games.
On Saturday, Nikos Christodoulides will attend competitions featuring Cypriot athletes, and in the evening, the couple will attend a reception hosted by the Cypriot ambassador to France in honor of the Cypriot Olympic team.
On Sunday, the president will visit the Olympic Village and attend events featuring Cypriot athletes. On Monday afternoon, the President of the Republic of Cyprus will return to the island.

The opening ceremony of the XXXIII Olympic Games will begin at 8:30 PM Cyprus time.
