Missing 13-year-old Syrian boy found in the TRNC, deportation to Turkey planned

Thirteen-year-old Majed Alyashtar, a Syrian citizen who went missing from a temporary accommodation center, was found in the territory of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), where he is believed to have crossed through the Ledra Street checkpoint.
According to local media, after Majed was found, he was placed under supervision in an institution, and now, according to the “Haber Kıbrıs” website, his deportation to Turkey, where his mother resides, is being planned.
Meanwhile, the Turkish Cypriot news agency notes that official information is expected regarding the possible handover of the child to the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus or other decisions concerning his future.
