Baby Born on New Year’s Night in Cyprus Named Apostolos
One of the first babies born in Cyprus in 2025 is a boy named Apostolos. He arrived just minutes into the new year.
The healthy baby was born at 00:17 after a smooth, natural delivery at a private clinic in Famagusta, weighing 2.7 kg. His parents, Sotia Charalambous and Giannis Apostolou, chose the name Apostolos for their little one.
“No matter how the holidays unfold or how time passes, there is nothing more precious than the birth of a child,” wrote Dr. Andreas Theodoulou, the doctor at the clinic where Apostolos was born, in a heartfelt post on social media.
Apostolos became the second baby to be born in 2025. Just minutes after midnight, a healthy baby girl weighing 3,140 grams was delivered by Caesarean section at a maternity hospital in Larnaca.
