Serious Incident at Cape Greco: Migrants Spot Coast Guard and Damage Their Boat
A serious incident occurred in international waters near Cape Greco when migrants spotted the coast guard and damaged their boat.
According to local media, the boat, which was about 24 nautical miles off the coast of Cyprus and heading towards the island, was carrying around ten people. Upon seeing the approaching coast guard vessel patrolling the area, the migrants deliberately damaged their own boat.
Upon discovering the distressed boat with migrants onboard, the coast guard personnel approached the vessel and began making repairs.
After the repairs were completed, the boat with the migrants changed course and headed towards Lebanon.
